Biography
DUBA BAND
Way back in 1998 Mary and John began as Blues Gypsy with Joe Lesh as Drummer, we played our first gig at Roadrunners in West Columbia. Around Y2K we became fasicnated with acronyms and during a jam session with Drimmer #2, Gregg Hough, the Name DUBA was coined. It was supposed to mean Do You Believe Anything, but it was realized that would be DYBA. DUBA like Tuba was much easier to pronounce. So Dried Up Blown Away became the official acronym. We have had many great players from the midlands area in the band throughout the years and have enjoyed thier contributions to the band. Mary Womble lead vocals and bass , and John Womble guitar. Mary and John will be sharing new info on gigs and throwback behind the scenes on this websites blog.
